Bio

Megan Greene is Associate Professor of History and Director of the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Kansas. A historian of Republican China, her publications include, The Origins of the Developmental State in Taiwan: Science Policy and the Quest for Modernization (Harvard University Press, 2008) and Taiwan in the 21st Century: Aspects and Limitations of a Development Model (Routledge, 2007). Her current project is on scientific research and development in inland China during the Sino-Japanese war.
