When I first started college, my dad was experiencing serious health issues. It was hard to be on the other side of the world and faced with my family’s mortality. I distinctly remember when I was in my calc 1 lecture and I opened an email with no subject line from my dad—it was his will. I know he will love me whether or not he is still here.
