Description
'Bombshell' represents the convergence of both ecological concerns and social pressures, physically conceptualized as an interspecies between oyster and human. Through my wearable sculpture, I call out the toxicity of calling women "bombshell babes", and shed light on environmental degradation from dumping toxic waste into our oceans. When worn, the weight of the shell symbolizes women's burdens, while the artificial pearl ski mask critiques societal beauty norms. I aim to reveal the striking similarities between our mistreatment in women and our oceans.
