To me, an oracle is someone who has special knowledge or experience. In this piece, the oracle is a spaceship mechanic who is interrupted from her work by a small child with a broken robot. I wanted to channel the feeling of an exasperated parent who loves her child but just can't understand why or how he keeps breaking things.
