They could be seeing eye pets for fairies or the watchers of nature. As a child, my mind was fantastical, and in my work, I enjoyed tapping into that time of my life in order to keep it alive in my adult world. Utilizing the cloisonne technique and transparent enamel, I created the flower eye spider and fabricated my first-ever enamel housing depicting an eye with dangling tears representing the struggle of growing up with those childlike ideals still showing in the mind’s eye.
