Title A name given to the resource Procne et Philomela Subject The topic of the resource LibArt 2025 Description An account of the resource Ovid's tale of Procne and Philomela explores love and revenge as it portrays the lengths a woman would go for her sister. As a woman with two sisters, I could deeply relate to Procne’s protective nature over Philomela. I was amazed that I could resonate with a piece of literature so intensely, especially one written thousands of years ago. Knowing that an ancient text could transcend time and that a modern reader could relate to it made me realize the importance of literature in understanding human nature.
