Using entirely second-hand materials and a combination of traditional textile techniques, this piece is a cross-section of histories. Patterns and fabrics meant for utility, and the labor of my hands are all retired on the wall for viewings sake.

I painted this tree on campus at KU. Behind the tree is the Spencer Library. I liked how the tree was in shadow against the bright, warm wall of the building.
