Artist statement: As I've studied at KU, I've discovered deeper loves for so many things in my life. Studying Japanese has once again sparked my love for the pop culture of Japan, fiber classes and brought my sewing machine back to life, and all of the local coffee shops are making me reconsider a dream of opening one myself. This weaving is a window into some of the things that I've been passionate about ever since I was little. I hope to continue using my work to reconnect with my childhood self.
