Description
This photo depicts the ICL facility located in North Lawrence emitting its distinctive orange glow during nighttime operations. Exposed against a pitch black sky, the plant becomes an island of light isolated from its surrounding environment. However visually striking it may be, the aesthetic value of the scene conflicts with the profit-driven nature of its source. Should night-shift laborers also be isolated from their environments in the name of round-the-clock production?
