Description
This piece is a ceramic bust meant to resemble a character from a story I have developed over three years. The knight depicted is an aspect of time known as its guardian; his name is Neavergale. I loved creating this piece, which is my most ambitious ceramic work. The color and styling took over three weeks to design and implement, with countless mistakes made along the way. I used regular stoneware clay, beginning with a square hollow base, and worked my way up, ensuring that balance was maintained with the immense weight of the work. The glazework utilized a base of temoku, with white, red, yellow, black, blue, and purple underglaze to create the speckled star patterns. The interior is entirely hollow, with a structured frame within to maintain stability, with any cracks
