This work was created while I was studying abroad in Florence, and was drawn with ink I made myself as I studied renaissance drawing and painting techniques. It depicts a section of my trinket shelf, something I have curated over time which hangs next to my bed. While I was drawing it, I was both extremely grateful for the chance to study in a place as incredible as Florence, while also feeling a powerful longing for home.
