This work explores a scenario where a cold, dark abyss is partially shielded from view by a frozen wash, enticing the viewer to try and look beyond the obstruction. Our frame of view is often skewed in ways that lead to our own self-sabotage when we push our feelings down or to the side and wait for them to come back and affect us later. Returning to strong feelings after a long period of avoidance can often be an excruciating experience filled with new tinges of confusion and foggy memories.
