While there is a lot of personal meaning to the artist, this work encompasses striving for and sampling expansions. At the time this piece was created, for the artist this included picking up old hobbies, pushing comfort zones by putting herself out there and taking small yet significant risks, focusing on progress, and not waiting for permission or perfection to initiate something. Hopefully this can be an inspiration to others to take a look around, internally, and sample something new.
