This work depicts myself from the perspective of someone looking over my shoulder. I am shown sketching a small porcelain replica of the bust of Michealangelo's David at my dorm room desk. I keep this bust on my desk because it was a gift from my grandpa who was a professional painter and who has served as creative inspiration throughout my life. This piece represents his influence on me and shows his point of view, watching me work and develop my skills as I now pursue a degree in design.
