I came across this view of a famous campus statue (created by Elden C. Tefft) in which it seemed to be surrounded by a halo of light while simultaneously being obscured in deep shadow. To me, the resulting image is a peculiarly (or perhaps humorously) ominous embodiment of KU pride.
