The set of photographs was based on the real fears that I found shared between people in my life, who were majority women, that shared they had fears of being kidnapped, stalked and followed; On top of the idea of the unknown and the dark. This photo also focuses on the fear of the dark, the unknown and how there is so much out in the world that we don't know the intentions of. However, it creates a question within the viewer whether there is actually someone within the photograph. Is someone there that we cannot see? Do our eyes not want us to see them? The light within the photo only reaches so far and has to fight against the consuming dark and highlights the dead plants and trees, which create their own shapes and shadows within the piece.</text>
