Just the thought of it makes my skin crawl! When I was facing housing insecurity, I couldn’t believe something like that could happen to me in my own home. I questioned what it meant to have a place to rest, a place to belong. I longed to return to a place I couldn’t go back to—my old life. With time, and the support of my dear friends and loved ones, I came to a necessary realization, I already am home. My body is where I rest and where I will live the rest of my life. I am lucky to have a home.
