Cold Dead Hands

This print was inspired by my experience seeing pairs of shoes hanging from telephone lines. They are somber to me, they are abandoned, left where no one can reach them and exposed to the elements. It led me to think about what other parts of ourselves we abandon. My own hands are cold most of the time because of poor circulation. Do they feel abandoned by the rest of my body because they don’t get as much blood as the rest? Although they are cold, they still have a lot of life left in them, if no one is there to hold them, at least they have each other.
