Title

Congratulatory letter from Dice McLaren to Chancellor Snow.

Description

"When this week's papers informed me that you now were Chancellor of Kansas University, I had a feeling of regret that so good a teacher and so earnest an investigator had been asked to become a manager as well. But when I rememberd that Jordon of Indiana, Chamberlin of Wisconsin, Remsen of John Hopkins, and Bessey of Negraska were just as good teachers and investigators as ever, I knew that Snow of Kansas was another honor for Science. I congratulate you and thank you for having so enobled Natural History."
