Description

The design of the West Campus Chapel combines modern geometry with Catholic symbolism, inspired by the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The chapel’s structure reflects the geometric form of the stadium, while incorporating personal elements rooted in Catholic tradition. The chapel features 14 columns, each representing the 14 Stations of the Cross, and triangular entrances that evoke the Holy Trinity. The roof, viewed from above, forms the shape of a cross, reinforcing the idea that the cross serves as a guiding support in life. Each of the four walls, adorned with the 14 columns, is designed in the shape of a house, symbolizing the church as a home for all. These elements combine to create a space that is both deeply spiritual and architecturally innovative, bridging the past with the present in a meaningful way.
