Description
I have always struggled with falling asleep, so I wanted to depict the opposite of my reality. I chose to represent myself in a womb-like dream space where I am floating in a comfortable state. I wanted to use a common symbol of sheep related to the idea of counting sheep to add to this feeling of comfort. I chose to add beads into the border to represent the idea of stars to further push the idea of space. I chose the color scheme of the border to create the illusion of depth in the dream spaces' clouds. As well as a variety of stitches to create varying heights and textures to add to the depth. I used a French knot to represent the texture of sheep wool and a split stitch to create the texture of hair.
