Description
This picture of two girls was taken in Mae Hong Son, Thailand. They are part of the Kayan tribe, also known as the Long Neck tribe. They came to Thailand to flee persecution in their home country Myanmar. Since they are refugees, they are not allowed to work and rely on tourism for their income. My family is from Thailand, and we visited them when we went to North Thailand. I remember a few of the women there were making beautiful tapestries on a loom, and were very kind to us.
