Gwendolyn (Butler) Jones

Gwendolyn (Butler) Jones attended the University of Kansas 1928-1932.  While at KU, she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and in 1932, a member of the Dramatic Club and the Women's Athletic Assoiciation.  Gwendolyn received a Bacholor's of Art in Physical Education in 1932 from KU and a Master's of Art from Prairie View A&M University.  She is one of the few African American women known to have participated in the WAA.
