Leavenworth Public Library Photograph Collection

The glass plate and flexible negatives in this collection depict the city of Leavenworth at the turn of the twentieth century. They were produced by Leavenworth resident and amateur photographer Frank C. Morrow, shown left in photo. The collection was donated to Spencer Research Library by the Leavenworth Public Library.

Morrow was born in Pickway, Ohio, on May 15, 1867. At the age of eighteen he was living in Leavenworth. He worked for the Great Western Stove Company for fifty years, retiring one year before his death in 1936.

The prints in this exhibit are some examples of Morrow’s work. The collection has been digitized, and the digital files are freely available on the Kenneth Spencer Research Library website.
