Soccer

The KU Women’s Soccer Club was founded by Beth Miller in 1980, but it was not until 1995 that soccer became a varsity sport.  Lori Walker was hired as the first head coach.  In its relatively short history, the Kansas soccer team has made it to the NCAA tournament seven times, including a trip to the Sweet Sixteen in 2003.  There have been six All-Americans and numerous conference and national academic award winners.
