Lynette Woodard

While there have been many outstanding players for KU Basketball, chief among them is Lynette Woodard.  A native of Wichita, Kansas, Woodard was a four-year All-American (1978-1981), the all-time leading scorer, co-captained the 1984 Olympic Gold Medal team, and the first female Harlem Globetrotter.  Woodard played in the WNBA for two seasons and served as an assistant coach and interim head coach at KU.  She is currently the head coach for the Winthrop University Eagles women's basketball team.
